The 400 State Trail is a 22-mile long trail that runs nearly adjacent to the Baraboo River from Reedsburg to Elroy. Bikers, hikers, and snowmobilers, use the recreational trail. It is a scenic trail that crosses the Baraboo River 11 times along its course.

The trail connects to the Elroy-Sparta Trail to provide more than 101 miles of bike trails. Free parking is available for bikers next to the Chamber of Commerce, and bike rentals are also available in the area.
