DESCRIPTION:Please join us for the first annual Indigenous Peoples' Day\n\n\n\nDay of Restoration: Healing our Mother Earth and ourselves through hands-on activities. Events such as prairie restoration and art making will be taking place around Sauk Country: White Mound Park\, Yellow Thunder Park\, and Ma Wakacak (Badger Ammunition). \n\n\n\nDay of Celebration: Experience the culture and traditions of the Ho-Chunk Nation and other Indigenous Peoples at Sauk County Fairgrounds in Baraboo. Highlights include a "welcome back" gathering for Sac and Fox Nation community members and a lacrosse showcase\, featuring clinics and an exhibition game. \n\n\n\nDay of Commemoration: The festivities will culminate on October 14th with a flag raising ceremony at the Sauk Country Courthouse.
