SUMMARY:Referendum Community Information Session
DESCRIPTION:On Monday\, August 17\, the School District of Reedsburg Board of Education voted to place a capital referendum on the November 3\, 2026\, ballot. If approved by voters\, the referendum would grant the District authority to construct a new 6 8-grade middle school\, with an estimated project cost of $83 million\, to replace Webb Middle School and address long-term facility needs that have been discussed with the community for many years. The new school would be built on district-owned property next to Prairie Ridge Intermediate School. The Board's vote does not approve the project\; rather\, it gives residents the opportunity to decide the question through the November election.\n\n\n\nIn the weeks leading up to Election Day\, the District will provide information about why the Board made this decision\, the condition of Webb Middle School\, what the proposed project includes\, the estimated tax impact\, the project timeline\, and answers to frequently asked questions. Community members are encouraged to attend and engage in community information sessions\, submit questions through the District's referendum question form\, or by emailing referendum@rsd.k12.wi.us\, or by calling (608) 524-2016. The District's goal is to ensure every resident has access to accurate and understandable information before Election Day on November 3\, 2026.
