Reedikulus Day is coming, Reedikulus Day is coming! New date! New day!

By popular demand, Reedikulus Day has been moved to a Saturday. This year, Reedikulus Day will be held on Saturday, August 2.

Reedikulus Day is not only for “downtown” businesses. Please let us know if you’ll be offering a “REEDIKULUS DEAL” on Aug 2, so we can include you in our informational materials. We hope to have flyers finalized by July 15.

If you would like to set up a “booth” or bring demonstration models or materials downtown, please contact the Chamber office, 524-2850 so space can be reserved for you.

2008 Concerts in the Park

The Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the 2008 Concerts in the Park Schedule. This is the tenth anniversary of the summer concert series. To celebrate, the concert committee has lined up the best local groups as well as bands from La Crosse and Milwaukee. All concerts will be held in Reedsburg’s beautiful city park beginning at 7:00 pm. In case of bad weather, concerts will be moved to RACA. This summer’s schedule is:

Wednesday, June 4 --- RAHS Jazz Band and vocal groups

Wednesday, June 18 --- Swing Crew

Wednesday, June 25 --- The Pinsetters

Wednesday, July 9 --- Class Act Big Band

Wednesday, July 23 --- Ed Hause Polka Band

Wednesday, August 6 --- Swif Kick

Wednesday, August 13 --- Shawdell Marks

All concerts are financed by donations by area individuals and businesses as well by “passing the hat” at each event. If enough money is raised, an eighth concert may be added. All advance donations can be made by sending them to the Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 142, Reedsburg, WI 53959. Contribution levels are: Contributors ($25 - $49); Friends ($50 - $99); Patrons ($100). All contributors will be recognized in the program.

Leading off the concert series will be the talented students of Reedsburg Area High School’s music program. This includes the Jazz Ensemble, Jazz Combo, Orchestra String Quintet, Bacon and Eggs, and other vocal groups.

So bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a summer of music.

Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce

(Reedsburg, WI) May 20, 2008 - The Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, at its monthly meeting on Tuesday, received the resignation of Jan Wirth, Executive Director, of the Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce. The resignation is effective as of May 20, 2008 due to this the board has announced that the Chamber Office located at the depot will be open limited hours. Speaking on behalf of the Board of Directors, Chamber President, Catherine Rice would like to thank Jan for her 14 years of service and wish her continued success in her future endeavors. People wishing to contact the Chamber can still call the office at 608-524-2850 and they will receive a call back from a member of the Board.

The board will be meeting shortly to plan for the future of the Chamber and the replacement of the Executive Director position.
