Event Description:

Join the naturalist for a stroll on Pulpit Rock Trail and hear the stories of the Fern Dellers who once resided in this area. Experience their peace and serenity of the area. Round trip is about 1 mile and the elevation gain is 108 feet.

We will take a walk back in time to explore the rich history of the private cottages that populated this part of the park in the years gone by. We will stop at a breath-taking overlook to see the upper narrows of the lake and the beautiful sandstone cliffs that surround the lake. Bug spray and walking sticks are strongly encouraged.

The parking lot is small, so this program requires PRE-REGISTRATION. To register – stop by the Park Office or call to register 608-254-2333. If the event is not full prior to departure, walk-ins welcome.
