Name: Tour of Historic Haunts in Baraboo
Date: October 25, 2024
Time: 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM CDT
Event Description:

Is there a murder witness in the library in Baraboo? Is there still an embalming room on the Square? Ever been to an Irish wake?  The Tour of Historic Haunts is coming to Baraboo on Friday, October 25 with historic stories of the mysterious, malicious, and the macabre.

Night-time guided tours will begin on the Square in front of the Sauk County Courthouse at 6:30 pm and wind their way through Baraboo neighborhoods and buildings to find places and people of the past. Visitors will meet August Ringling, the father of the Ringling brothers, find out where Baraboo’s first cemetery was and why everyone buried there had to be moved, and see an original casket showroom.

Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and bring a flashlight. Parking will be available around the Square. Tickets will be sold at the event.
