    The Reedsburg Kiwanis is sponsoring the 16th Annual Lazy Beaver Canoe and Kayak Race from LaValle to Reedsburg. There will also be a prize for best decorated canoe or kayak! An awards ceremony and cookout will be held in the picnic shelter by the Granite Avenue boat landing in Reedsburg following the race.

    Location:
    The race starting point is in LaValle east of the bridge. The finish line is the new Granite Avenue canoe landing in the City of Reedsburg, just north of the Webb Avenue bridge.
    Date/Time Information:
    Saturday, August 6, 2016,10 AM with paddlers leaving at timed intervals to space out racers. This race is intended to be a fun family event. The plan is to have the most serious canoeists start first so the more leisurely entrants don't slow them down or get in the way.

    Fees/Admission:
    $20 per person up to July 28 and $25 per person afterward. The entry fee does include a Lazy Beaver baseball cap or a t-shirt, plus pop and sandwiches after the race.
