Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber’s Annual Golf Outing will be held on September 23.  The Chamber can use your assistance in making this a successful event.  Please support your Chamber by sending a team to golf, or if not spend the evening dining and socializing.  Of course, the Chamber really hopes to see you there, but if the timing is absolutely wrong please send your support in the form of a hole sponsorship.  Donations of raffle prizes and silent auction items are always needed.  Please call the Chamber if items need to be picked up.

The Chamber will be assisting with the coordination of volunteers to staff the  taveling Smithsonian Exhibit, Key Ingredients:  America by Food October 22-December 3.  Volunteers will be needed between the hours of 10:30 am and 6:00 pm, and will be scheduled in approximately 4 hours shifts, with at least two people scheduled to work each shift.  The gallery will be open 6 days a week, and by appointment the remaining day.  Volunteers will be trained to lead groups through the Exhibit.  They will need to possess exemplary customer service skills, enjoy assisting the public, be knowledgeable about Reedsburg history and heritage as well as the surrounding Sauk County area, and be willing to learn
the details of the exhibit in a manner keeping with a Smithsonian exhibit.  Volunteers should have a true appreciation of food, farming and culture.  If you would like to volunteer to assist with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, please contact the Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce at 608 / 524-2850 or by e-mail at:  reedsbrg@rucls.net.  The deadline for applying is Friday, September 10, 2010.
