Wednesday, June 28, 2017, 1-6 PM: Habitat for Humanity of Wisconsin River Area is featuring Celebrate Home Ownership! Learn about the 5 new U.S. Dept of Agriculture "Self-Help Housing" homes starting on N. Grove and 8th Street. See house plans, meet the owners, take a van tour of previous homes built in Reedsburg; and find out about future opportunities for people who would like to get a lot more house for their money by helping with construction of the home. Home ownership matters to communities, so local officials from municipalities, and also elected officials, will be there as well. Want to give these ambitious families a hand?! Come dressed for a build site (with your tool belt if you own one!) and join us for some construction! 1 PM: Refreshments and Speakers. 2-6 PM: Review house plans; van tours of previous homes built & (for those so inclined!) picking up a hammer to do a little building!
