    Reedsburg, WI.  July 12, 2012 –Sauk County and surrounding area bargain hunters and collectors will be offered a great opportunity on August 17 & 18, 2012 when the Reedsburg Area Chamber of Commerce hosts its second annual Back to School Community Wide Garage Sale.
     
    The Spring Community Wide Garage Sale has been a long standing tradition in Reedsburg, but the Chamber discovered that many residents preferred to clean out their attics and garages in the fall, and since many families look for affordable back to school clothes and new college students are also trying to furnish dorms with bargains it seemed a good match.  “The 2011 fall garage sales were so well received by both sellers and buyers that we felt we had to continue it as an annual event,” says Kristine Koenecke, Executive Director.  “Garage sales are always very popular in this area, but serious shoppers appreciate being able to attend dozens in one or two days.”

    Last year’s fall garage sale featured over 40 garage sales, and the Chamber has been receiving inquiries all summer about where and when to register.  Registration forms are available at the Chamber of Commerce office or are downloadable from the Chamber’s website, reedsburg.org, under the forms link.

    Most registered garage sales are located within the city limits, but there are usually a couple located among the neighboring townships.  Garage sale guides, featuring a map and an overview of sale offerings will be available at the Chamber of Commerce and online after August 15.
