  • Old Fashioned Plow Day

    • Share:
    Name: Old Fashioned Plow Day
    Date: May 18, 2013
    Time: 10:00 AM - 10:00 AM CDT
    Event Description:
    SAME SONG, 3RD VERSE.

    Due to the constant rain and cold temps, and talking with host Gary Schyvinch, we find the field not fit for plowing for at least a week or more.

    So, with much regret, we are now delaying our “Plow Day” until Saturday, May 18, 2013.

    May 4 is the Badger Steam & Gas “swap meet”, and we cannot nor want to go against that.

    May 11 is another day with too many conflicting local events.

    We all realize the date of May 18 might cause several of our “good ol’ boys” to not be able to attend because they have their own crops to deal with at that time.

    If we cannot get the date of May 18 to work out, we will have to cancel for this spring.

    This has been a very exasperating spring, but considering the drought of last year, the continued rains were sorely needed.

    ONWARD TO MAY 18!!!

    ===========================================

    There is a plow day in Adams Co. scheduled for this coming Saturday, 27th, starting about 10 am.  They have very sandy soils and they will be able to go.  In addition to tractors, they also plow with horses and have a  big food tent and music.
    Friend Craig Wood told me they would like for “all of us” to come join in their fun day.

    Location:  Go east on Hwy 82 in Adams Co., then turn left (north) on “B’ and go 4 miles; field is on your left.

    I plan to take a tractor and plow over there and I encourage all of you to join in if you can.   ---Lowell
