Event Description:
Reedsburg Area Helping Hands has been facilitating the School Supply Program for many years. We fill anywhere from 100-150 backpacks each year.
The mission of Reedsburg Area Helping Hands is to help provide basic needs to underprivileged children in the Reedsburg School District. Our efforts are an attempt to help meet the needs of these community children, so that they can start school on an equal footing with their classmates. Our hope is that we can collect enough supplies to help these children throughout the school year.
The basic supply list includes 3 ring binders, wide-lined loose-leaf paper, spiral notebooks and composition books, along with yellow highlighters, CrayolaÔ crayons, markers and colored pencils, pocket folders, rulers, scissors, pens (red, blue or black), dry-erase markers, earbuds, headphones, and pencil boxes or pouches.
Now through Labor Day, we will be collecting items at many local businesses and churches around the Reedsburg Community, as well as at other places of employment. Please feel free to drop any listed items at one of the many collection boxes in the community.
