    * 1/2 yard of “bargain bin/inexpensive” foundation fabric in a light and neutral color with little to no print.
    * Colorful scraps for your rose (about 1/3 to 1/2 yard worth) in various values and/or colors
    * Rotary cutter
    * Fabric scissors
    * Straight stitch sewing machine with needles & thread
