Based on a true story set in Austria in 1938, THE SOUND OF MUSIC tells of a detour on Maria Rainier’s journey to become a nun. Recognizing that Maria is not yet ready for religious life, Mother Abbess sends her to be the governess for the seven children of a widowed naval officer. Finding the household strictly run like one of his ships, Maria reintroduces music and warmth and quickly charms both the children and their father. Favorite songs such as “Do Re Mi” and “Climb Every Mountain” fill this time-honored show that practically invented the term “family entertainment.” We have wonderful seats in rows 1, 2 & 3.
For lunch you’ll begin with Cream of Shiitake Mushroom Soup and Freshly Baked Breads followed by the option of: CHICKEN ALFREDO - Skinless Breast of Chicken dipped in egg, lightly breaded served on a bed of Linguine with our homemade Alfredo Sauce. Served with Steamed Broccoli; ATLANTIC SALMON - Steamed and served with Tarragon Sauce, accompanied by Garlic Parmesan Orzo and Steamed Broccoli; SLICED ROAST BEEF TENDERLOIN - Chef Carved Medallions of Roast Beef Tenderloin glazed with a Red Wine Sauce, served with Garlic Parmesan Orzo and Steamed Broccoli. For dessert - Nuss Schnitten, a traditional Austrian dessert is a walnut sponge cake with a layer of Raspberry Jam, topped with Meringue and drizzled with Chocolate Ganache. Coffee, Tea, and Milk.
